Policy Description
- The Telecable Telecommunications operating company adheres to the right of every inhabitant to enjoy a healthy and ecologically sustainable environment to develop, so in order to improve its environmental performance it is committed to:
- Identify the significant environmental aspects and impacts related to the products and services offered by the company from a life cycle perspective, which allows controlling and preventing pollution; additional effort to raise awareness about the rational use of resources that allow the conservation of a natural environment.
- Continue to comply with environmental laws and the respective commitment to their updates, under the highest disposition on the part of the company.
- Involve both internal and external clients and any party involved in the knowledge, application and commitment of the policy.
- The above commitments are mandatory for all employees of Telecable SA and for all people who enter our branches, which will ensure personal integrity, as well as that of all the company's employees.
Policy Description
Telecable is committed to the well-being of all collaborators, clients and suppliers who are associated with the organization. For this reason, our purposes at the organizational level are:

These previous points are a mandatory commitment for all Telecable SA collaborators and all people who enter our facilities, ensuring the integrity of both personal and all Telecable SA collaborators.

Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the Steering Committee to define the growth and operation strategy of the company in accordance with the Sustainability policy.
It is the responsibility of the Sustainability Committee to develop and socialize the Sustainability policy, develop educational campaigns for the experience of it.
It is the responsibility of all employees, as corporate citizens, to behave at all times and places in accordance with the company's values, this includes compliance with policies, procedures, codes and any binding regulations.
It is the responsibility of the Purchasing area to carry out the appropriate quotes, tenders and negotiations to guarantee that the contracted suppliers are in compliance with the law and social responsibility of the country.
It is the responsibility of each area to carry out direct and indirect hiring under the guidelines of respect for the sustainability policy.
Our company has the approval certificate of the SEMNS60 program of the National Insurance Institute, which validates our Road Safety Management System.

Behavior of collaborators:
- Employees who, due to their work role, need to drive company vehicles must take the road safety courses established by Occupational Health and the Road Safety Committee for the correct handling of mobile phones or safe transportation.
- Collaborators with assigned mobile phones must maintain order and cleanliness in their respective unit.
- Collaborators with mobile phones in charge must ensure the proper functioning of these vehicles as indicated in the preventive and corrective procedure for the maintenance of mobile phones.
- Employees in general must adopt established good road safety practices when traveling to their jobs. ecological way.
- Collaborators in general must adopt established good road safety practices for the transfer of safe way.
- No worker should alter or damage vehicles owned by THE COMPANY.
- When it is a necessary requirement to fulfill the functions for which they have been hired, workers may not refuse, without justified reason, to drive THE COMPANY's vehicles.
- All workers who drive THE COMPANY vehicles must have a driver's license in good condition and in force, which must be appropriate to drive the assigned vehicle.
- In this sense and if applicable, foreign workers will have to complete the procedures required by the Licensing Department of the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation to obtain a Costa Rican driving license.
- Use seat belts and require all passengers in the vehicle to wear them.
- Limit the vehicle's route to the route strictly necessary to execute the work entrusted to it by THE COMPANY; In this way, except in exceptional situations where they must report the unforeseen event, the worker must comply with the route previously assigned by their immediate supervisor.
- Responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle due to inexcusable negligence or fault; this measure also extends to the safety tools and accessories of each unit. Including the liability generated as a result of the activation of the insurance policy.
Safe vehicles:
- Telecable ensures the maintenance of its mobile phones by having a preventive and corrective procedure for the maintenance of mobile phones.
- Telecable complies with all regulations as indicated by the Law on Traffic on Public Land Roads and Road Safety.
- Bosses, supervisors and senior managers must know the procedure for identifying and evaluating road risks, in addition to controlling their indicators.
- Bosses, supervisors, directors and management must adopt established good road safety practices for safe transportation.
- Since the vehicle given to workers is considered a work tool, in no case will it be considered as salary in kind, or an acquired right of the workers, and may be revoked if required by THE COMPANY.
- Unless expressly provided in writing by the Directorate or Management to which the worker belongs, THE COMPANY vehicles may not be used by workers for private or personal matters.
- The mobile phones are controlled by means of GPS and the reports of anomalies obtained from this system will be sufficient basis to sanction those responsible for these irregularities. Any unauthorized deviation from the designated routes, leaving the cell phone on when the vehicle is not running, and excessive speed will be grounds for penalties.
- THE COMPANY may apply driving tests to verify the worker's skills and may implement other measures that it deems appropriate to verify that all workers, who are required to have a license as a requirement for the fulfillment of their work obligations, have their document up to date and without any type of affectation that could harm or hinder the development of their work.
- If necessary, the worker will be asked to present the written certification issued by the MOPT or COSEVI informing about the status of their license points; in accordance with what is established by the Law on Traffic on Public and Land Roads.
Secure infrastructure:
- Bosses, supervisors, directors and management must know the road emergency plan in case a situation of this type arises, with their collaborators.
- Telecable has a staff for mobile phones that are used with due road safety standards.
- All people who use these parking spaces must park in the exit position.
- Vehicles must be turned off once they are parked.
- Maximum internal speed in the facilities and parking spaces will be of 10km/h.
- Signage and assigned spaces must be respected.
- Any worker for whom, due to historical situations, the benefit of using the parking lot has been liquidated will not be able to bring the vehicle into THE COMPANY's parking lot, except in special cases approved by management.
- Workers who have contact with suppliers must inform them of compliance with these standards; in addition to verifying the correct use of the space assigned to them.
- Personal motorcycles have an assigned space according to each office; which, when parking, must comply with the established signage.
Atention to pacients:
- In the event of an accident, employees must follow the procedure for investigating accidents, incidents and illnesses.
Ecological Mobility:
- Every Telecable employee must abide by the guidelines of the road safety management system regarding ecological mobility.
Prohibitions:
Workers are prohibited from driving vehicles assigned by THE COMPANY:
- Leave personal belongings and leftover food in mobile phones once the workday is over.
- Smoking any type of cigarette inside the cell phone.
- Consume any alcoholic beverage regardless of its type or the amount ingested, before or while driving the vehicle.
- Driving under the influence of drugs or substances of unauthorized use as stipulated by current legislation, and the regulations issued by the Ministry of Health, in compliance with the provisions of PLT-016 Policy Prohibition of Smoking and other Drugs.
- Stop the mobile phone by leaving the engine on without it being strictly necessary.
- Stopping the vehicle in places not included in their roles without a reasonable explanation.
- Participate in speed competitions, such as those commonly called “piques”.
- Transport substances or raw materials that have not been duly authorized by THE COMPANY.
- Throwing garbage on public roads while driving vehicles owned by THE COMPANY.
- Label vehicles with information, propaganda or badges of any type not authorized by THE COMPANY.
- Damage the paint or silkscreen of the mobile phones.
- Driving recklessly or irresponsibly, traveling at a speed higher than the maximum limit or lower than the established minimum.
- Change parts or spare parts of the vehicle, truck, motorcycle or any asset owned by Telecable, without the respective authorization of THE COMPANY.
- Attack or insult any pedestrian or driver, as well as make any type of sexual or offensive comment that could be misinterpreted by an outsider.
- Manipulate the monitoring device (GPS) that the cell phones have, which is controlled 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by different representatives of THE COMPANY; Therefore, any off-route distance already scheduled is cause for disciplinary action.
- Violating the country's traffic law. Any result provided by the GPS regarding the driving of THE COMPANY's vehicles may be subject to disciplinary actions, which does not imply that external sanctioning measures are also applied according to the law that has been violated, none of this would imply a double sanction.
- Leaving the vehicle at the employee's home or other place outside of Telecable facilities after work hours. For special cases, it must be authorized by the supervisor or immediate boss and report it to the fleet manager.
- It is prohibited to transport unauthorized passengers, such as minors, family members or people outside THE COMPANY, inside THE COMPANY's vehicles.
